Traditional Wassail
Ingredients
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 8 sticks of cinnamon
- 1 lemon, washed and sliced
- 1 orange, washed and sliced
- 1 tbsp whole cloves
- 1 tbsp allspice
- 1 gallon white wine
- 2 cups rum
Instructions
- Simmer the non-alcoholic ingredients together for 1-2 hours.
- Add the wine and rum about 10 minutes before serving hot.
Non-Alcoholic Wassail
Ingredients
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 8 sticks of cinnamon
- 3 apples, sliced
- 1 gallon white sparkling white grape juice (non-alcoholic “wine”)
- 1 tbsp whole cloves
- 1 tbsp allspice
- 2 apple juice or cider
Instructions
- Simmer all ingredients together for 1-2 hours and serve warm.
