Whether trying different foods from around the world interests you, or you want to expand your culinary palette, Culturally Culinary in Whitby is the place to be on September 22, 2014. Held in Whitby Central Library, this two hour event from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. is a great way to spend a weeknight learning something new!
Ontario is rich in cultural diversity, and the purpose of this event is to introduce unfamiliar foods from different cultures to encourage people to expand their horizons. Food is often what brings people together, and embracing different cultures is a great way to learn and come together.

Downtown Whitby
Culturally Culinary isn’t the only place to savour cultural cuisine from around the world. In Downtown Whitby, there are a number of local and distinctive restaurants that serve up an array of multicultural foods that will satisfy your taste buds and the quest for a cultural culinary experience!
On Saturday, September 20th it’s Whitby Heritage Day! Here you will also have the opportunity to sample culinary delicacies at local restaurants while celebrating Whitby’s past, present and future. There will be plenty to do and see, from farmers’ market vendors to entertainment, crafts, games, heritage displays and more! This is a free family friendly event, and a perfect way to spend a Saturday discovering Whitby’s historical roots.
