Tree Day Traditions

It’s the time spent together as a family, preparing for the holidays that children remember when they have long forgotten the presents.  Pack the kids in the car, put on your favourite carols and head to Spademan Tree Farm to choose-n-cut your fresh tree. Ride the wagon, sip on hot chocolate around the open fire, and peek into the Christmas Shoppe, all-complimentary.

Warm up at Haugen’s Chicken and Ribs, featured on the TV show ‘You Gotta Eat Here’.  The locals love the hand cut fries, secret BBQ sauce and the homemade pies, baked daily.

Walk off lunch with a stroll around Historic Downtown Port Perry. The Victorian streetscape is the perfect setting for The Nutty Chocolatier where we suspect the expression ‘like kids in a candy store’ originated! Don’t forget to secretly purchase a few stocking stuffers when the kids aren’t looking!

A visit to Port Perry would not be complete without a visit to Old Flame Brewing Company! Is it coincidence that their signature Blonde, Red and Brunette brews come in cans that are shaped perfectly for stocking stuffers? We think not!

After a day in the fresh air we suggest you pick up some fabulous food finds at The Trading Post Quality Foods. This large store is filled with something for everyone’s taste buds for later as you nibble and nosh away around your beautiful family Christmas tree!
