Embrace your wild side at Jungle Cat World, a destination wildlife park in Orono, Ontario. The park gives visitors the rare opportunity to get up close and personal with wildlife species, many of which are threatened or endangered. Visitors will gain awareness and learn more about a number of different animals, including many large cats such as jaguars, Bengal tigers, snow leopards and lions. There are also spider monkeys and ring-tailed lemurs onsite to entertain with their comical antics, and tamer alpacas and llamas to round out the park’s bunch.
Special to the park is the opportunity for visitors to actually interact with some of the animals. Does feeding a wolf or a ring-tailed lemur interest you? Or maybe you’d like to walk with a young tiger as it carries out its daily routine. While working with an animal coordinator in a safe environment with animals that have been socialized since birth, this experience of a lifetime can be arranged.
There are other tour options available at Jungle Cat World, including a feeding tour with a zookeeper to answer all your questions as you visit the primates and large cats. Or if you’d like to spend the night and see many of the animals during their most active time of the day, a night safari tour is available, complete with bunkhouse lodging, pizza supper and a guided night tour.
There’s also a bed and breakfast onsite if you’d like to stay at one of the park’s unique apartment lodgings without necessarily taking a sneak peek at the animals’ evening routines.
