Small Town Christmas Shopping in Headwaters

Small Town Christmas Shopping in Headwaters

‘Tis the season of Christmas villages, Santa Claus Parades, and decorating the tree. A time for eggnog, ugly sweaters, and office parties. Unfortunately, it can also be the season of busy parking lots, crowded stores, and stress-filled last minute shopping. Thankfully, York Durham Headwaters is filled with shopping destinations known for their unique selection of gifts for Christmas. So avoid the busyness of the season and choose a stress-free, destination shopping experience. Here are seven Christmas shopping destinations in Headwaters where you can find the perfect gift while taking in the beautiful rolling hills and tranquil rivers of the region.

GRAND SPIRITS Distillery

Add some spirits to your Christmas shopping experience. Just a short drive north of Toronto is Ontario’s newest creator of personally-crafted whiskeys and gins: GRAND SPIRITS Distillery. It’s the first legal distillery in the Headwaters region in a century! They offer exceptional, hand-crafted cocktails and dining in a refurbished century-old schoolhouse. Enjoy a tasting at Headwaters newest culinary attraction; it is a relaxing addition to a day spent shopping. The busyness of the season will melt away as you savour the newly launched Grand Valley Gold, School Spirit Real Barley Vodka or English Garden Gin in their SpeakEasy Bar. Purchase a bottle for that lover of fine spirits on your Christmas list too.

Farmhouse Pottery, Gallery, and Cafe

For a relaxing and inspiring Christmas shopping experience, Farmhouse Pottery is for you. Find relaxation in a multitude of forms, from the beautiful countryside, the stunning log cabin or a warm coffee paired with the view from the cafe. The inspiration comes from the remarkable works of art created by the potter, Allan Pace. Located on the Hockley Road, just outside of Orangeville, the studio gallery is nestled on the banks of the Nottawasaga River. This log construction studio provides a beautiful setting for Al’s pottery. The studio and cafe offer a respite from the busy world during Christmastime; plus, you are sure to find a one-of-a-kind present this Holiday season.
