The Canadian Automotive Museum opened in 1963 and has nearly 100 vehicles in its collection. Located on Simcoe Street South the museum building is housed in a former 1920s auto dealership building. The museum displays over a century of automotive manufacturing in Canada as well as featuring European racing and luxury cars. Highlights of the collection include seven Rolls Royce limousines, a 1914 Galt gas-electric hybrid, and numerous automobiles manufactured in Oshawa.
