Whether it be for a bachelorette, a birthday celebration, or just a needed break with your best friends, there’s nothing quite like a weekend with your ladies. Regardless of what the occasion may be, we have some great spots for you to check out to have the ultimate girl’s weekend in central counties.
Hockley Valley Resort:
If you’re dreaming of some time spent away from the city with your favourite people, think no more. Hockley Valley Resort is tucked away in Orangeville, in between rolling hills and vineyards. It’s the perfect destination for a weekend with friends. Indulge in delicious regional wines, while taking a tour of the vineyard and winery. The vineyard has been said to remind people of the hills in Italy – truly a weekend escape! After some wine, head over to the luxurious spa in the resort. Astronomy Night:
For a fun filled day and night, check out Kortright Centre for Conservation, located in Vaughn. The centre has tons of fun activities and events, not to mention is completely green and sustainable. If you or one of your girlfriend’s is looking for a wedding venue, make a day of it and come to the Centre to see the venue, as well as learn more about green energy and living off the grid. Astronomy Night is November 21st from 7-9pm, where you will learn about mythology, history and how to identify star constellations. Perhaps you could consider your wedding here, with a beautiful venue and a way to incorporate the star-crossed lovers! You and your girlfriends will have a fun day doing something off the beaten path!
Holiday Decor Workshop:
The holidays are fast approaching, whether you are prepared or not! The charming town of Mulmur, Ontario is hosting a holiday decor workshop on November 28th, from 9:30 am to 1 pm. Round up your friends for a little road trip outside of the city, and head on down to Not so Hollow. Here, you will learn how to make a wreath for a door or window. The event provides you with refreshments to warm your soul and put you in the holiday spirit. Stay in the charming Foxingham Farm B&B for a true country escape. You and your friends can wander the town, stumble upon vineyards and wineries, and have a quaint weekend away to reconnect with each other before the holiday madness.
