We hope you’re hungry. From now until February 9th, Market & Co. is hosting its second Marketlicious event. If you haven’t been to the Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, then you’ve never seen anything like Market & Co. This 40,000 square-foot space features 18 premium merchants which showcase fresh, local, handmade and ingredient-focused items, and a central space for hands-on learning and events. For a limited time, all five restaurant establishments within Market & Co. are teaming up to give visitors a dining experience like no other. Have you been thinking of getting together with that friend you haven’t seen in a while? Got a girls’ night coming up? Want to get out of the house and do something with the family? Marketlicious is your ticket to a delicious experience.
Marketlicious provides diners of all tastes and types with the opportunity to try something new. “With so many great dining options at Market & Co., this featured event gives people an excuse to get out of the house for date night, a family get-together, or just because, and try some amazing food at a great price,” says Christine Seidman, marketing manager at Upper Canada. The event was first hosted this past summer, and was such a positive experience that Market & Co. decided to host a winter version as well. Between January 24th and February 9th, guests are invited to drop in at Market & Co., or make a reservation to take advantage of these delicious deals. Each participating restaurant is offering a special lunch and dinner prix-fixe menu for between $20 and $30 per person.

MidiCi: The Neapolitan Pizza Company
Experience fine authentic Neapolitan pizza, the way it was made in the old country. MidiCi is committed to incorporating high-quality, non-GMO ingredients that are fresh and all-natural.
Union Chicken
Happy, healthy, high-quality chickens, free from antibiotics and raised cage-free without the use of steroids or hormones, are the foundation of a great menu. Enjoy mouth-watering rotisserie chicken, sandwiches, fried chicken mains, delicious sides and decadent desserts.
Amano Kitchen
Amano means handmade. This open-concept Italian restaurant is well-loved for its pasta dishes. Fresh local ingredients combine to create ever-changing selections. Expect impeccable service and hospitality inspired by the founders’ Italian heritage.
Pier 87 Fish Market and Grill
This is a modern take on the traditional fish market. Customers will be treated to the absolute best sustainable fish and seafood possible, cooked in any manner they choose. This establishment is sure to please seafood fans everywhere.
Arthur’s Landing
Enjoy a fabulous brunch, lunch, dinner or drinks. The restaurant (Located outside of Upper Canada’s Entrance One) is committed to sourcing fresh, local ingredients to create seasonal dishes. An incredible atmosphere and knowledgeable, friendly team members await to welcome you to a diverse and memorable dining experience.

As Christine Seidman points out, all of the restaurants at Market & Co. are so different from one another, and each one offers its own unique experience. She says, “With Marketlicious, guests can sink their teeth into a new experience five times over. Whether it’s fresh, hand-shucked oysters, The OG fried chicken sandwich, homemade pasta with fresh Bolognese, Moroccan curried chicken, or even chewy, authentic pizza—you can truly taste the chefs’ passion in each dish.”
Everyone knows that Upper Canada is a great location to shop, with over 200 stores and services. But it is also a great place to eat. Arthur’s Landing has been a well-loved gathering place at Upper Canada since 2017. When Market & Co. opened the following year, the mall gained four more delectable dining options. “With Marketlicious, we wanted to give our restaurants the chance to be in the spotlight and showcase their offerings,” Christine says. “We worked with each one to gather menus and pricing, and then we went to work on promotion, which included social and digital media, centre signage and engaging local influencers to help us spread the message.”
She adds, “The people involved in this event truly have a passion for food and for quality. There is a real sense of community and partnership between the merchants themselves. Some of the restaurants partner up with their fellow merchants to feature their products.” For example, Amano’s Branzino dish sources its fish from Pier 87. And MidiCi: The Neapolitan Pizza Company’s dessert offering incorporates macaroons from Market & Co. merchant Amadeus Patisserie.
