Want to combine education and fun for the family in one? Visit Heartwood Farm & Cidery (by reservation only) and the kiddos won’t even realize they are learning something. Let Val and her team share her story of regenerative farming while the kids meet the animals including cows, sheep, lamas and pigs. After your tour treat the kiddos to some fresh made on the farm cider and have a sample or two of the hard stuff for yourselves.

After your farm experience head over to the quaint town of Erin (a 10 minute drive) and grab a bite to eat at Tin Roof Café where you’ll find an impressive list of grilled cheeses, yummy bakery items and a great selection of lattes including lavender and nutellachino. Or if you are looking for something more on the magical side try Maddie Hatter Tea Shop full whimsical décor for Queen’s Tea which includes finger sandwiches, scones, desserts and of course, tea.

Once the kids have had some foot and have had a chance to rest their feet, head over to Brighten Up Toys and Games and pick up a traditional favourite or stay on the educational track with one of the STEM Kits.
