Angus Glen Golf Club, in Markham, is recognized as one of Canada’s premier golf courses, with two challenging 18-hole championship golf courses – each of which has hosted a Canadian Open event. Did you know Angus Glen was also the host golf venue for the 2015 Pan Am Games?  The pros have played here, and so can you. You just need to decide on which course you want to conquer, then pre-book a tee-time for your visit.  Make it a Staycation Experience with overnight accommodations at the Toronto Marriott Markham*, located in the heart of Downtown Markham.

After your day on the greens, retire to the tranquility of your ‘home away from home’ for the night.  When the urge for dinner hits, you won’t have to venture very far. A number of terrific restaurants are conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel – from steak at Ruth’s Chris, to French-inspired at Terre Rouge, to Italian at Costa Sorrento and authentic Thai at Lanna Cuisine,  just to name a few.  Limited dine-in reservations are currently in place so be sure to reserve ahead to guarantee a spot, or if you’d rather stay in for the night, no worries, take-out options are also available.   And of course, there is also Draco, located right inside the hotel, with favourites such as Lobster Grilled Cheese, Brisket Burger, Grilled Striploin Steak, and Draco Charcuterie Board, that is sure to be a hit. Before checking out, be sure to visit the Pride of Canada Carousel, a signature piece of Downtown Markham, featuring 44 sculpted Canadian characters that pay tribute to some of Canada’s most celebrated wonders and icons.
