The 11,000-acre Ganaraska Forest is beautiful year-round, but especially in the winter. You’ll want to keep coming back to explore the forest after you experience it, but if it’s your first time, you can rent a pair of Nordic skis or snowshoes! Or simply meander through clearly marked trails of pine and hardwood forest.

After a day in the snow, warm up from the inside out at Strack’s Smokin’ Grill. Steve Strack has been cooking up cajun style and BBQ goodness for over 30 years, but we found him (nice try keepin’ it a local secret, friends!) and his smoker is in the wee hamlet of Burketon! Get there!
