Island Lake Conservation Area

With four seasons of activities, Island Lake is the perfect destination for the active individual. The beautiful scenery of the surrounding area is captivating as you walk, bike, hike, or jog on the trails running beside the 182 hectare reservoir. The natural landscape and diverse wildlife in the area are sure to make you forget that you’re just steps from the urban centre of Dufferin County. In the summer enjoy fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, picnicking, and trail walks.

Spring (April 14 to May 11)
Mon to Fri – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sat, Sun – 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Summer (May 12 to August 19)
Mon to Fri – 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sat, Sun, holidays – 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Late Summer (August 20 to September 16)
Mon to Fri – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sat, Sun, holidays – 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Fall (September 17 to October 21)
Seven days a week – 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Winter (January 1 to March 18)
Seven days a week – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Off Season (March 19-April 20 and October 22-December 31)
