Mural and art walks are a favourite among tourists, and downtown Oshawa boasts an impressive collection of murals and art installations within a 3.7 km loop. While two other Durham communities offer similar experiences, Oshawa’s is unique—a self-guided walking tour featuring 29 striking public murals and six captivating art installations, all easily accessible along paved sidewalks.
We invite both new and returning visitors to explore this vibrant outdoor gallery with family and friends, capturing and sharing their experiences on social media. While the full tour can be completed in about 90 minutes, we’re sure many will be tempted to linger and sample the delicious offerings from the fantastic eateries along the route.
Spanning from the 1990s to 2024, the murals tell a rich visual story of Oshawa’s artistic evolution—with even more exciting pieces planned for the future.
