In 1958 Chris Givelas, a Greek Immigrant came to Oshawa and established the famous Rainbow Family Restaurant! Back then, we were open 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week! Our feature remains to this day, “the GM Breakfast special!”. We serve over 400lbs of bacon and 3000 eggs a week! We are affectionately known as ‘The House of Bacon’! The Rainbow is the one of the oldest restaurants in Canada and has stayed in business through their mantra of large portions, great taste, fast service at a fair price!
