The Robert McLaughlin Gallery

Spend the afternoon inquisitive and intrigued with a visit to The Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa. With 6,000 square feet dedicated to exhibition space, there are more than 4,000 works in the permanent collection alone. As the largest gallery in Durham Region, the 36,000 square foot building also houses a gift shop, library, studios and an event space for special occasions. The RMG gallery was built in 1969 and is a masterpiece of artwork itself. Constructed in a modernist style and using square and stone elements, the vaulted skylights allow maximum natural light and the spacious areas provide plenty of room to breathe, relax and ponder the artwork.
