THREE SCARE ATTRACTIONS!

Charlie’s TRAIL

Ever since old, deranged Charlie dug up those graves a few years back, the town of Cannington has never been the same. Locals still talk about the night the spirits took revenge on Charlie, chasing him into the nearby forest to redeem his fate. It’s rumored that the spirits still haunt the woods. Many locals have reported hearing eerie noises … weeping, wailing, screaming. Others have reported sightings of the spirits, in their darkest, most evil form, still angry with the disturbances Charlie caused.

Despite the warnings from officials, every year near Halloween, a crowd gathers to see for themselves. Silly, silly fools …

Outbreak

A dangerous airborne virus is suspected for the recent outbreak in the Cannington area. Thankfully, those suspected of being infected have been contained and the threat of the virus spreading has been minimized. The locals have started feeling safe again, carrying on with their usual business. Little do they know, the “experts” have been working around the clock to find an antidote, but have failed … and those infected in the containment area are quickly getting worse. Much worse.

Urban Legends – new attraction this year!!!

Urban legends …. true? Or just a myth? It doesn’t matter to us either way. Once you enter this pitch-black maze, your fear will overcome you and you will be at our mercy … you will have no choice but to hear our lurid story and believe.

“A pianist who breaks the mold.” – International Piano Magazine

Hailed as a hero (Los Angeles Times) and a smashing performer (Washington Post) who stands out from the typical trends and artifices offered on the international scene (Classica), Alain Lefèvre has been a guest soloist of great orchestras and collaborated with renowned conductors worldwide. For his exclusive Ontario recital, Lefèvre will perform a spectacular program including the “24 Preludes Op. 28” by Frederick Chopin, “Sonata No. 2, Op. 36” by Sergei Rachmaninoff, La Valse by Maurice Ravel, and one of his own compositions, Sas Agapo.

Plus …

Did you know that the Celtic festival of “Samhain” (pronounced ‘sow-wen’) is the pagan origins of our modern day All Hallows Eve or Halloween? This was an important time for our ancient ancestors as it marked the beginning of the Dark Half of the Year or winter. Traditionally celebrated around the first of November, this was the time when the ‘veils between the worlds’ were thin, meaning spirits, ghosts and goblins could pass easily from the world beyond into ours. It was also a time for remembering and honouring the ancestors or appeasing restless souls.

Join Mill artist CJ Shelton to learn more about where our Halloween customs came from as you weave your own personal ‘Witches Ladder’ from crafty and found objects. Wool, string, twigs, berries and other organic bits and pieces gathered from local forests will also be used to make the “ladders”. This is a wonderful way to set your intentions for the winter ahead or weave thoughts and prayers symbolically into your creation. Your finished ‘ladder’ can be hung indoors or outdoors to send its message to the spirit world or protect your home

Healing with Horses & Yoga with Shelly Burton
The animal kingdom has many lessons to teach us, and horses are among some its wisest teachers. These majestic creatures help you reconnect with your heart, drop any masks and aid in profound healing breakthroughs. By mirroring your emotions back to you, in a safe space, they help you get in touch with your feelings.

Horses intuitively recognize blocks in our physical bodies and auric fields. They can help move the energy, releasing repressed emotions and old patterns. For this reason, working with horses is an incredibly powerful way to accelerate the healing journey. Connecting with horses allows you to bring things to the surface that otherwise might be difficult to process. Combined with healing energy, channeled wisdom, movement and sound, it is then possible to move through these emotions with ease.

When Anita O’Day first heard Heather Bambrick sing, the Jazz vocal legend exclaimed “You’re good! You should have your own show!” After inviting Heather to jam with him, renowned Jazz-fusion guitarist Larry Coryell said to her “Wow, you’re the real deal!” To this day, flugelhorn icon Guido Basso calls Heather his favourite singer.

More than just a vocalist, Heather is also one of Canada’s busiest voice actors, appearing on numerous commercial campaigns, as well as voicing characters on several Emmy-nominated animated series, including those for Disney, PBS, Comedy Network, and NBCKids. Since 2001, she’s become a beloved host at JAZZ.FM, Canada’s only all-Jazz radio station, and has twice been named National Jazz Awards’ Broadcaster of the Year.

Winner of the 2018 East Coast Music Award for her album You’ll Never Know, musician/broadcaster/comedienne Bambrick combines brilliant jazz musicianship with side-splitting laughs lovingly described as “Ella Fitzgerald meets Carol Burnett.”

All is Calm captures an extraordinary event. On the first Christmas Eve of World War I, soldiers on both sides all along the Western Front simply stopped fighting. The informal truce held for a day in some spots; in others, it extended into the New Year. The play draws on letters home and poetry written by those who served. More than 20 songs from the era – all sung a cappella – power the tale.

A remarkable true story, told in the words of the men who lived it.

“All is Calm gives space to our dreams for human nobility.” – Minneapolis Star Tribune

When you put together three brilliant Tenor voices with natural Irish brogue, singing spine-tingling classical, folk, Irish, Gaelic and pop favourites in stacked three-part harmonies, then mix them up with quick witted banter, you have the Celtic Tenors. The charismatic, globe-trotting Celtic Tenors are the most successful classical crossover act to emerge from Ireland. With a polished international reputation and over a million CDs sold worldwide, the Celtic Tenors offer something truly unique. They relish what they do and give a sparking, good-humoured
performance. Sing songs they love such as “Danny Boy”, “You Raise Me Up” and “Nessum Dorma”. They certainly don’t take themselves too seriously; it’s all about music, harmonies and fun!
