We are always adding new content and updating old posts, but sometimes you might stumble upon something from our vault. We all know he’s coming to town, but the question is how will he arrive? This year will look a little different than previous years holiday events but one thing is certain, we all need to celebrate and generate some extra cheer in our lives. Staying close to home is a must, not to mention staying safe and healthy, so if you do choose to attend an event, please follow social distancing safety precautions.

This is an entirely outdoor experience, so please come dressed for the weather. Each experience is two hours in length and is based off the time slot selected when purchasing your tickets. Enchanted Christmas Village

Treat your family to an evening of Christmas wonder. Discover the joy of an old-fashioned Victorian Christmas as you tour the main street of the Village, alight with oil-lamps, and a crackling bonfire. Stops on the tour feature festive traditions of days gone by, a performance of a holiday story, tin lantern and candle making demonstrations and a chance to snap a (physically distanced) selfie with Santa!

We are so pleased to be able to offer this event even though we are still in the midst of a pandemic. However, visitors should know that some changes have been made for this year only.
The 2020 Uxbridge Optimist Fantasy of Lights will be a Drive-Through event only this year. The “walk-through” Fantasy Trail will be temporarily closed for the year. There will be no horse-drawn wagon rides or hot chocolate. But fear not… the Optimist Club of Uxbridge is committed to making this year’s display more brilliant than ever to make up for it, and to brighten your mood this holiday season! We look forward to seeing you there.

2020 marks the 16th year of the Holiday Treasures Arts and Crafts Sale! The warmth and beauty of the season is echoed throughout the Main Gallery of the MoD with beautiful displays of handmade treasures for sale. Find a gift for everyone on your list this holiday season!
Due to COVID-19, the MoD is implementing several new health and safety measures for this event:
- Shop a selection of items online at dufferinmuseum.shop (store opens December 1) with curb-side pick up, or local delivery to Shelburne, Orangeville, and Alliston!
- Entry to the onsite show & sale will be by timed entry to promote physical distancing. Book your entry date and time online or by phone (coming soon!)
- One-way traffic and directional arrows
- Masks are required when inside the facility
- Multiple hand-sanitizer stations provided
