There are a variety of Glamping experiences, most of which include a tent on a platform with all the creature comforts of a luxury hotel. Many include food packages from your hosts, unique activities, and an awesome location!

Enjoy sleeping under a canopy of stars, cozying up to a fire, and sleep the night away in the comfort of a proper bed!

Harmony Resorts

A great place for a glamping getaway is Harmony Resorts! They have multiple locations across the province, including one in the Headwaters region.

Harmony Resorts offer an assortment of seasonal sites. You can bring your RV, trailer, or tent to camp. Plus, they also have tiny cabins that are ideal for those wanting the relish in nature while having the luxuries you’d find in a small condo!

Along the Grand River, just west of Orangeville, is one of Harmony Resorts’ locations. Set within tranquil woodlands, this site offers visitors access to all their amenities, such fire pits, picnic tables, a pool, as well as the river.

Their tiny cottages sleep between two to six people and come fully equipped with everything you’ll need! There’s a full-sized kitchen with dishes and cookware as well as a three-piece washroom. Guests have the comforts of home but can also delight in the sights and sounds that camping affords.

Heartwood

On a picturesque plot of land just outside the town of Erin is Heartwood. This 42-acre farm is home to a long list of things to do including farm experiences and cider tastings. Plus, you can enjoy farm glamping too!

There are three different sites to choose from across the farm. Each location offers a unique landscape, from forest to pasture. Tents are on raised platforms with indoor and outdoor seating, twinkling lights to brighten your evenings, and a warm and comfortable bed.

Alabaster Acres

For a luxury glamping experience less than an hour from Toronto head to Alabaster Acres. Set in the scenic hills of Caledon, Alabaster Acres is a working farm with an event barn, mini goats, and makes for the perfect escape!

Enjoy one of their frontier-style tents that come with everything you need! These large tents are outfitted with leather chairs, outdoor dining, a mini fridge, and more! You can glamp all year long here with their luxurious king beds that come with a heated mattress!

Mornings start with a breakfast box that are packed with all the essentials like fruit, yoghurt, and baked goods. A few other amenities guests will love include a fire pit, hammock, and open-air claw foot tub!

Jecara Farms

Just south of Schomberg sits a scenic farm where you can enjoy an off-the-grid escape! Jecara Farms has three rustic cabins that will make you feel like you’re stepping back to pioneer times but with many modern comforts!

In each of their cabins, which are built of century-old barn board, guests will find a wood stove, table, chairs, and a comfortable bed. Outside on the covered porch is a barbeque and seating to take in the view of the pond. One of the cabins is larger, with a loft area, and can accommodate up to four people. The minimum power that the cabins require, for the few lights and compost toilet, comes from renewable energy.

During your stay you can enjoy the farm’s walking trails, canoe, and visit with the farm animals.

LMI Yurt Village

In the forests of Durham region, between Whitby and Port Perry you’ll find another unique glamping experience. LMI Yurt Village is an over 100-acre farm with five yurts, five globe domes, and plenty of fun activities to take advantage of during your stay!

Each has a queen-sized bed, sitting area, bookshelf, and games. You’ll even find a portable DVD player and movies that you can enjoy thanks to a power pack! Every site has a private firepit with Muskoka chairs and access to their hot tub!

If you’re looking for a cozy glamping stay during the cooler months then you’ll love their all-season camping domes! Soak in the views of the night sky above while you settled into bed.

The Yurt Village is also home to walking trails, rentable ATVs, and even a communal outdoor movie theatre.

Two Blokes Cider

Enjoy glamping in a tiny home on an award-winning cidery at Two Blokes Cider! Situated 10 minutes north of Port Perry in Seagrave, Two Blokes is a farm-based cidery and now has a brand new tiny cabin for visitors to stay in on the farm.

This tiny cabin is perched on a slice of farmland that offers the perfect girl’s getaway or romantic escape! It comfortably fits two people and has a tiny kitchen, seating area, and bathroom. You’ll love cozying up in the loft bedroom with its views of the rolling hillside.

Beyond the indoor oasis you’ll find everything one would want in a luxury glamping getaway! You can soak in the hot tub, light up the barbeque, or soak in the sweet summer sunsets around the campfire. Plus, you’ve got a great spot to celebrate with a drink or two at the cidery nextdoor!

There’s another added bonus for those travelling with their pups! Two Blokes Cider’s tiny cabin is dog friendly!

Villa Vida Loca Farm

Fun glamping spots are popping up all over Durham Region! One of the newest is at Villa Vida Loca. This farm is best known for their boutique market selling farm fresh goods and other products. However, they also put on incredible gastronomic events that will wow any foodie!

Now, you can also stay in a cute cabin they’ve dubbed La Cabaña in the Woods! Set in the woodlands of their 10-acre property in Sunderland, this tiny cabin offers a unique glamping experience. Here, you can enjoy the rugged fun of camping with the welcome comfort of a roof over your head.

In your cabin in the woods, you’ll find a lounge area to sit and relax, a queen bed in the loft, and an essential coffee maker! Outside your cabin is where you’ll do your cooking. There’s a barbeque, firepit, and picnic table. Or you can wander over to their Smoke Shack for some tasty food. Plus, guests have access to a hot tub, in-ground swimming pool, and other fun activities on the farm!

One thing to note is that there is no running water in the Cabaña. There’s a hand washing station, outdoor shower, and cute little outhouse. It all lends the perfect blend of camping and comfort!
