If the mid-winter itch to swing the clubs is too much to bare you can scratch that itch and get a little relief by planning a trip to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s north building for the 25th edition of the Toronto Golf & Travel Show next weekend. Running from February 28th through March 2nd, hundreds of exhibitors will be displaying all things golf in the industry and golf travel destinations, both local and from around the world, will be there to show off their unique golf locations.

Each day 300 hundred green fee tickets will be given away by Play Golf Ontario on a first-come-first-serve basis. So make sure your first stop in at booth #1509 for the free rounds of golf give away. As you make your way through the show visit the Central Counties Tourism booth, 619-623, to put your name in for a chance to win green fee tickets to Angus Glen, Wooden Sticks or Caledon Country Club or pick up some free golf goodies and learn more about the great courses that are right in our own back yard. Central Counties is once again sponsoring the Sand Trap Challenge offering you a chance to spend a little beach time working on your sand game.

Show highlights:

Instruction: Some of the headliners on the demonstration stage will include the Golf Channels Michael Breed who will help “Fix” your game on Saturday from noon until 6:00 while Mississauga’s 11 time World Long Driving Championship participant Jeff Gavin will demonstrate his awesome power, and offer up a few tips which will help you take it deep, on Sunday from 10:00 trough 5:00. Take in two of Canada’s top instructors, Henry Brunton, Golf Canada’s National Coach from 1999-2011 and Jason Helman, 2010 PGA Teacher of the Year and Golf Channel Swing Fix Instructor on Friday afternoon from 12:00 to 7:00, as they offer their game improvement insights. A wall of hitting stations manned by CPGA Professionals will also be available throughout the show offering tips to help you get a head start on the season.

Retail: On the retail front Golf Town will be offering up some great deals on golf equipment but also keep your eyes peeled as you tour the floor for many equipment and gizmo manufactures will be presenting show specials. The opportunity to field test the latest and greatest that the club manufactures have to offer for 2014 is available in the demo tents.

Travel: Looking for that great golf vacation destination experience? Preventatives from the warm and exotic, old world historic, and many of North America’s premier golf resorts, both north and south of the boarder, will on site to entice you to visit their unique golfing locations.
